Fanbase partner with Hanwell Town as they place a focus on fan engagement

We are delighted to announce the launch of our latest partnership with Hanwell Town of the Southern premier League South division!

The London-based club were founded back in 1920 by a group of Newcastle natives who were working in the Hanwell area at the time, the connection lives on to this day with the nickname ‘The Geordies’ and the famous black and white stripes being adopted as their colours.

Hanwell were promoted through the playoffs in dramatic fashion at the end of last season with an enthralling 3-2 win over fellow Fanbase partners Chertsey Town, thanks to two goals in the last ten minutes while they were down to 10 men!

Fans of the Geordies now have access to a Hanwell Town branded app experience through both the Apple / Android store and internet browser. Within the Fanbase app fans can now purchase digital match / season tickets and access exclusive content with more to come soon.

Having all of the above available in the one platform not only makes it easier for the fan to engage with the club but allows club officials to start to build a 360’ view of how fans are engaging with the club which can then be used to identify upsell opportunities and reward those who are most engaged.

Fanbase head of growth Jerome McCarthy commented “We’re really excited to have the London Geordies on board as they make history and play in Step 3 for the first time this season. We’ll be helping them offer digital ticketing to their fans for the first time too. After the step up it became a higher priority requirement as they look to improve their digital presence and engage and grow their fanbase.

They’re now well set to experience the benefits of digital ticketing that many of our partner clubs are seeing every weekend. Selling more tickets, improving the fan experience and making match days less stressful for their team are just some of the outcomes that Hanwell will be aiming for. We’re very happy that Hanwell gave us the call after using Fanbase as away fans in their play-off semi final at our long term partners, Bedfont Sports. We look forward to seeing their progress in this historic season with Fanbase at their disposal.
