We are delighted to announce the launch of our latest partnership with League Two side Edinburgh City.

Fans will have access to a range of digital solutions including Digital Ticketing, content and more from either their mobile device or computer via a brand new Edinburgh City Fanbase app.

They will also be able to gain contactless entry using mobile tickets, regarding the ongoing Coronavirus pandemic this will allow physical touchpoints to be removed while track and trace details are stored automatically and safely online. With the current uncertainty surrounding the number of fans allowed in attendance, the Fanbase platform will also allow the club to monitor and allocate tickets based on what restrictions are in place in the lead up to the game.

It was recently announced that all home games during the 21/22 season will be played on a Friday night to attract Edinburgh sports fans who don’t usually make it along on a Saturday afternoon. Fanbase will allow the club to collect data such as email addresses from these fans in a GDPR compliant manner, allowing them to be engaged with the club in the future with relevant information about Season Tickets or important news.

Edinburgh City Chairman Jim Brown said “We’re excited to be teaming up with Fanbase; we are working hard to create a more effective MatchDay experience for our supporters and the end-user experience provided by the Fanbase app will help us achieve this. With the new season just around the corner the timing couldn’t be better and we look forward to building a long-lasting partnership with them.”

Fanbase Co-founder Alasdair Crawley commented “We have a lot in common with Edinburgh City, we were both born in Edinburgh and we are both challenger brands in an established market. That creates a shared sense of grit and determination. I’m very excited about the future for both Fanbase and Edinburgh City.

The Fanbase app can be downloaded on both Apple and Android devices using the links below now while those on desktop can follow Edinburgh City here.
