Feature Launch: Promo codes

Promo codes are here. Again, our clubs asked and we have delivered. It is now possible to construct fully customisable promo codes with Fanbase.

Create the code, set the level of discount, choose a specific fixture/event or period of time and you’re set to share with fans. We’re very excited about releasing promo codes because it is a tool that can directly translate to getting more fans through the gates. Promo codes are not just a one-trick pony, they can be used in a variety of ways to increase attendance, fan engagement, revenue and community partnerships.

Here’s how our partner clubs have been using promo codes:

1). Drive engagement via community groups

Almost all clubs have partnerships with local schools or sports clubs, with promo codes there is now an easy way to incentivise locals to engage with your club.Set your custom code i.e. “HIGHSCHOOL20” and track how many times this is used to understand which community groups are most engaged and where the opportunity lies for further initiatives. No need to have the admin of sending multiple complimentary tickets to multiple different contacts who then have to distribute further. Just send them a code.

2). Revenue share with partners

Some clubs agree on a revenue split based on the revenue driven by a particular promo code. This is an excellent way for clubs to directly give back to a school, for example, and fund local projects whilst driving engagement at the club.

3). Enhance your PR campaigns

Working with media outlets that have a strong following or subscriber count can help to boost awareness and attendance. Now you can make your messaging even more enticing by offering a promo code.News/media outlets are more likely to push your message to their audience as they are now providing more value (an awesome discount to your club).

Promo codes are unlocking a lot of value for our partner clubs across the UK. We can’t wait to hear more success stories that are ultimately increasing revenue and fan engagement whilst decreasing the admin time of club staff. Whether you’re a partner club that would like a quick tutorial or a non-partner club looking to find out more, get in touch!
