Annan Athletic FC Sign on for 2022/2023 with Fanbase Pro
After a successful season, we are delighted to announce we will be working again with Annan for the upcoming 22/23 season.
As part of their digital transformation strategy, Annan Athletic have secured the services of Fanbase for the next season.
By signing up to Fanbase Pro the Galabankies can look forward to engaging with fans through their very own Annan Athletic mobile app and website integrations (coming soon to an Apple/Android store) that includes custom ticketing, hospitality, content, a digital match centre, memberships all linked to a fan relationship management system all powered by Fanbase technology.
Meanwhile, club officials can now take advantage of a brand new and improved admin portal that focuses on improving marketing and reporting activities within the platform to bring everything that they could ever need under one roof.
Our very first year working with Annan proved to be a great success. By using Fanbase the club increased average attendance by 20% while also effectively managing the home Scottish Cup tie against SPFL champions Rangers at Galabank and ensuring home fans were able to witness the historic occasion with Fanbase’s proprietary ticketing system which has been developed specifically for the sports industry.
From a marketing perspective, the club have successfully grown its marketing database by over 1000 and are now starting to think about strategies for next season to engage their growing fanbase locally and globally in partnership with Fanbase and their other partners.
Fanbase co-founder and CEO Alasdair Crawley commented ‘We’re very excited to launch Fanbase Pro with Annan Athletic who are investing in their fan experience both on and offline. We’re delighted to help both sides by working closely with their website developer, our point of sale partners and utilising all the new features of the Fanbase Pro platform. There’s a potential fanbase of 20,000 people in the Annan area and more further afield in Lincolnshire and overseas. Our job is to help all these fans feel recognised and make everything they need from a buying experience and a service experience a couple of clicks away.”
Annan Athletic Director Neil Irving was quoted as “Following the Covid pandemic our football club recognised that digital technology, fan engagement and communicating with our fans were all key to growing and sustaining our fan base.
Through Fanbase, we've successfully been able to do that and more importantly offer our fans a brand new service that can improve their matchday experience as well as keep them engaged away from Galabank Stadium. For us being largely volunteer-led, Fanbase is helping us save time and focus on the important value-adding tasks of running a community football club.
The Fanbase team have been incredibly supportive at every stage of our digital journey. This support has now helped us successfully grow our contact base and put fan engagement at the forefront of our thoughts.”
Fans can expect to receive more information about the new app in the coming weeks!
